I used to spend days and days gathering information, preparing charts, putting them together into a Powerpoint presentation for the S&OP senior review.

Then running them by my boss - only to have him want a different view.

So repeat the whole process again.

And, of course, S&OP is a cyclic process - stepping regularly through Sales Review, Manufacturing Review, Pre S&OP roundup and then the Senior Review itself - so that actually EVERY WEEK was data processing, chart preparation and Powerpoint prep week.

No wonder that, as a Supply Chain Manager, I saw so little of my family.

Are you still stuck in this position? Despite perhaps having a top end ERP system?

These days, of course, we have designed Veloc so that with one report you have, at your fingertips, all of the information on sales, capacity, inventory, labour, materials requirements etc.etc. you could possibly need for any step of the S&OP or IBP process.

AND...

You can slice it, dice it, move it around, look at it in a myriad different ways - all with a few clicks.

In fact, if you're brave, you can send the report (it works entirely independently of Veloc itself) to your boss and tell him/ her to cut it whichever way they want 😉.
